Show PANGUITCH Mrs. Grace Young was a recent visitor at the Linden Hatch home in Cedar City. On Feb. 23rd, Mrs. Hatch and son Kelly and a friend of Cedar City and Mrs. Tom Bird of Cir-cleville came here, to share a big dinner in honor of their sister Helen Young on her 17th birthday. Mrs. Don Rosenberg and children of Tooele were recent weekend visitors with her parents, the Than Coopers. Mrs. Alva Johnson Is home after an extended visit with her children and families. She reports that son John L. Johnson and wife of Granger are parents of a baby boy bornn Feb. 26th; they also have a 3-year old daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Champ Church, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Whlttaker and Rudolph and Clem Church attended funeral services on Tuesday at Fredonia for Amy C. Judd, who was born in Panguitch In 1891 to Hiram and Eva Church. Mrs. Dora Veater of Cedar City, Archie Henrie of Ogden, and Arvel Henrie of Kearns were visitors at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Henrie. They came to visit their father who is still in the hospital. The family is very grateful for the cards, letters and all other kindnesses shown their father during his illness. Erroll Dowdell is still-seriously ill but has been taken to his home, where his daughters are helping Mrs. Dowdell take care of him. (continued inside) PANGUITCH (continued) Mrs. Bob Middleton is visiting this week at Salt Lake with her son who is leaving on Monday for the armed service, he just recently returned from completing an LDS mission. Mrs. Mayo Riggs and daughter Berthann spent Friday to Sunday up north. They stayed overnight in Orem with daughter Kay and family, the George Cherringtons, then went on to Salt Lake where Mrs. Riggs attended the Utah Congress of PTA Board of Managers. Steve Orvetcha and Leo Weber,, friends of Capt. Gordon C. Henrie, from Ankara, Turkey, were at Mary Sargent's for. the weekend. Leo boarded a plane at Salt Lake for Maryland, Steve went back to Salt Lake where he is attending the U. of U, Gloria Ashurst and son are visiting her brother Sheldon R. McEwen t Heywood, Calif. Mrs. Florence McEwen and eon Robert L. have been visiting at Salt Lake and Layton. Robert is with the Navy stationed at San Diego and expects to leave soon for the Or ient on the aircraft carrier Or-iskany, The Infant son of Larry and Dawna Rae P. Barney underwent a hernia operation at the hospital and is reported doing well. |
