Show PANGUITCH The Ladies Bowling League standings for the week of Nov. 5th were: Cameron Motel and Panguitch Drug, won 9, lost 3; Flying M, won 6, lost 6; Tebbs Jewelry and Panguitch Bowl, won 5, lost 7; State Bank, won 2, lost 10. Sara Hepworth is in the hospital recovering from surgery. Jess Cherrington, Verna Owens and Melodie Dix arc medical patients. President A. L. Elmer was scheduled to undergo surgery at St. Mark's hospital in Salt Lake this Thursday, Nov. 11. The Errol Dowdells recently received word that their daughter Lucille (Mrs. Wallace Tebbs) of Las Vegas, Nevada was taken to Southern Memorial Hospital after being struck by a car as she stepped from her parked car. She suffered compound fractures of the ankle and leg and the other leg was badly bruised. Mrs. Nettie Dowdell and daughters Maurine Goff and June Liston spent several days last week at Las Vegas to visit her. Maurine returned home to Henderson after spending two months here during the illness of her father who Is reported to be improving. Mrs. Eva Tebbs has gone to Las Vegas to assist her son Wallace with the children while Lucille is in the hospital. Mrs. Carol Ann Spencer and four children of Salt Lake visited several days at the home of her parents, the Vernon Reids; her husband Francis hunted in the Circleville area and got a large buck that was one of the winners in a deer pool at Salt Lake. Mrs. Dell Miller has been at Clearfield getting acquaint-ed with a new granddaughter born to Dick and Virgina Gib-bany; the new baby has a little sister Annette to help take care of her. The Scott Robinsons had a house full for a week during the hunt:- Gerald 'Robinson of Leona Valley, Calif., Ken and Alice Jones and son Gary of Torrance, Calif., Bob and Sue of Salt Lake; they, had pretty good luck for the way the deer were; Visitors. at the home of Mrs. Margaret Haycock were Mr. and Mrs. James Wenegar, son David and daughters Diane and a new baby girl, name not announced yet, from Salt Lake. While Jim enjoyed the hunt Elizabeth let their new daughter get acquaintedJwlth Grandma Margaret, Aunt Jessie, and other relatives and friends in town. The Stanley Mikulewiczs have a new grandson born to Reed and Pat Roberts of Bountiful, the baby has a brother and two sisters at home. Ronald and Martha Early returned to Van Nuys, Calif, on Monday. Martha said that the deer hunt visitors made up some for the poor turn out of fishermen at the Lake. Mrs. Katy Hurst has returned after a month up north visiting daughter Mrs. Margaret Tingey and family at Salt Lake City and son William D. Hurst and family at Ogden. A baby boy was born to the J. R. Judds at Lander, Wyoming on November 9th. This is their first boy. There are three little sisters to welcome him. Proud grandparents are the Reed Judds and Mrs. Mary Lee. |
