Show T. J. Barney, Victim Of Gun Accident Buried At Panguitch On November 6th Funeral services were held for Thomas Jefferson Barney, 76, in the Panguitch North ward, church on Nov. Cth. Ow. ens;' "song," "Memories", Marva Woodard and Neucille Dodds; prayer, Floyd Barney. The grave was dedicated by Frank Richrds; burial was in the Panguitch cemetery under direction of Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary. Mr. Barney died Nov. 3rd in the Panguitch hospital of accidental gun wounds. He was born Nov. 10, 1889 in Brooklyn, Sevier County, to Thomas Jefferson and Olive Higgins Barney. He married Sarah Annie Riggs on Aug. 6, 1909, she died March 7, 1917. On July 6, 1919 he married Nellie Ann Fallis In Hatch, the marriage was solemnized In the St. George Temple June 28, 1933. Mr. Barney was an Elder in the LDS Church; a veteran of World War I; he spent most of his life as a farmer, government trapper, mill hand, and sheep shearer. Survivors: sons, daughters: Mrs. Arnold (Verda) Sawyer, Hatch; Ivan, Mrs. Almond (Therma) Robinson,, of Lehi; Mrs. Jack (Delma) McKean, Mrs. Dean (Sheila) Richmond, Mrs. Shirley Webb, .Hartley and Lannon, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lee (Fawn) Averett, Richfield; Mrs. Blair (Olive) Woodard, and Larry, of Pangultch; 46 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; step mother, Mrs. Carl Colby, Richfield; brothers: Elliot, Pan- T. J. Barney guitch; Frank, Hatch; Angus, Richfield; sisters: Mrs. Bud (Blanche) Harding, Richfield; Mrs. LaMont (Vera) Dennison, Gunnison; Mrs. Robert (Irene) Pulsipher, Nevada. |
