Show Panguitch City AndCounty School Tax Levies Take Upward Jump The schedule of tax levies for Garfield County and its various communities has just been released by the County Commissioners, with increases noted in city and in some town levies, and the only deduction being in the County General fund, down from six mills to four mills. Biggest jump is in the Panguitch City levy, up from 20.50 mills to 26.50 mills; the Panguitch Cemetery district has been raised from 1 mill to 2 mills. The County School levy has climbed-from 30.00 mills to 34.00 mills. A new item on the list is Boulder, now incorporated, and collecting a 2.00 mill levy from its taxpayers. Henrieville town's levy is up to 9.75 mills from 8.00 mills; Tropic up to 9.00 from 8.50. The total school levy for the year is 35.00 mills up from 31.00. The total county levy for the year is 8.00 mills, down from 10.00 mills. All other items are the same as listed last year, with Antimony, Can-nonville, Hatch and Escalante holding the line at 5.00, 12.00, 8.00 and 18.00 mills respectively. |
