Show Mrs. Zella Worthen , Dies At 84 Mis. Zelln Worthen Aurella Rozella Montague Worthen, 84, died Saturday, Jan. 12th, in Pan- t guitch, after a Bhort 111- ness. She was born Feb. 13, 1872 In Pangultch, a daughter of James Shep- ' ard and Sarah Jane Lam-oreaux Montague. On Jan. 7, 1891 sho was married to John Franklin Worthen In ( tho MantI LDS temple: He i died in 1945. While she was raising her family, she served for many years as a Primary worker. Sho served on the Relief Society Presidency on tho Stake Board, and was a visiting teacher for many years. She had been both county and local D.U.P. presld- ' ent. Noted for her exquisite handwork, sho was also a , wonderful seamstress, and served on the sewing com- mltteo for the dead. She was' a member of the Pangultch Literary club. Until two weeks before her death she was very actlye. Tho mother of eight ' children, of whom six are living, she also raised a grandchild from Infancy, Mrs. Arthur (Hazel Dawn) Evans of Paragonah. Surviving are, sons and daughters: Herbert N. and Mrs. Pratt (Hope) Gould-lng, Pangultch; Mrs. J. Ray (Magda) Slade. Og- den; Darrel F., Salt Lake; Mrs. Aurella Bauer, Cedar City; Mrs. Berta Burton, Parowan; 54 grandchll- dren, 99 great grandchll-dren,, 3 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers, 2 sisters. ; Funeral service were held' w Tues'day"in the3outh Ward chapel with Bishop,., Jay A.
