Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans and Deloy, accompanied by Mrs. DeLin Crofts of Salt Lake, visited for three days last week in Henderson, Nev. with the Melvin Barnhursts and the Hay Burrows'. Mrs. Burrows and Mrs. Crofts returned home with them for a visit. Tuesday. Mrs. Evans entertained with a stork shower for Mrs. Burrows. Going to St. George Friday to do temple work were Mr. and Mrs. Gale Wilcock and family, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Huntington, and Mrs. D. H. Evans. Students home for Easter were Marba Wilson, Cal Burrows. Kenny Griener, LaRue and Yvonne Campbell. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Heap and daughter and Leland Riggs and daughters of Cedar City visited their parents over Easter Sunday. Ladd Holt spent the weekend with the Cecil Grieners. Open House was held Friday, April 18, in honor of Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Evans for their joint birthdays. Many townspeople visited them; out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. George Workman Sr. of Glendale; Mr. and Mrs. John Mecham, Mrs. Clyde R. Bybce and children. Tropic; Mrs. Laura Worthcn, Mrs. Tillie Clark, Mrs. Grace Myers, Mr&. Fay Lynn. Mrs. Hope Gould-ing, Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Evans and family were weekend visitors in Springdale with Mr. and Mrs. K. Gifford. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder and family, Lorena Evans and Sandra Evans visited Saturday in Cedar City and Paro-wan. The' E. F. Turcks, Allen and Jean Huntington spent Saturday over by Escalante. The Wiley Huntingtons spent Saturday by Marysvale. Mrs. Annie Wilcock visited with the Gale Wilcock family Thursday night and Friday night. Sunday she accompanied the Gam Wilcocks of Cir-cleville here then they all accompanied the Gale .Wilcocks to The Sands by Kan'ab. Mrs. Arnold Sawyer and Vay visited over the weekend in Moab with Arnold. The David Sawyers and the T. H. Sawyers visited in Tropic Sunday at the Roy Shake-spear home. April 19 a baby daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Lay-ton Barney. She arrived on her brother Craig's 8th birthday. Hal Wilcock entertained several friends Monday in honor of his 9th birthday which was April 21st. Max Haney and Karl Lowder returned to their work on Monday. The Calvin Wilsons have moved into their new home. Speakers in Sunday Sacrament meeting were Morlcy Wilson, Almina Frandsen, Hilda Gardner, Wallace Houston, and President Vernon L. Holman. Other visitors were Mrs. Laura Worthen and son. Mrs. Vernon Holman and granddaughter, Arlln Proctor, Merlin. Partridge, and George Frandsen. |
