M Anyhow, In way of explanation, that's where a half dozen or so, perfectly sane people (I question that) on a horse, get out and bat a big old ball around with a broom. Sounds fun? Hoy, t can Just see me and Trlxle out there, she'd go one way, I'd go the other wonder where In the heck that ball would bel Cold as It was last Sunday, there were quite a few brave souls down to the race track on their horses, and trying to play the above mentioned game. Those out riding were: Albert I). Sevy, Devon Owens, Allan Duck and Norma Cus-. fartrldge. elly, Doc Mason, and Earl Henrte. They were all calling the rest of us names llke:"Falr Weather Cowboys", and "Dixie Cowboys." Seems they didn't think we could domuch good, riding In our cars. Members who were seen watching the sport were Kemp and Gertrude Hancock, Alden Black, Carl Yardley, Keith Frandsen, Doug and Maxlne, and the Petersons. Seema we've got a Hen Hur In our midst; If you'ra wondering who and what lt Is, here's a hint: Jess Coon says he'll drive one of those little Roman chariots, if the PRC will build lt This sounds like It should be a lot of fun, to watch, that Is. Doug says If Jess doesn't want to drive that thing, he will. All I can say Is I wish them luck. At the Doard of Directors meeting last March IS at Mary Coons', tentative dates were set for our annual rodeo and District Meet. For the Rodeo, May 21 was picked, and for the District Meet August 13. A special tmeetlng of the Riding Club has been called for Wednesday, March 30. at 7:30 p.m. In the Court House. Those or you who haven't paid your lines, bring them along. See you next weekl |
