Show Pamuitch High School News UV WAYNE OWENS I think that possibly a famous man once said. "It Is a deadhead who does not take opportunities to advance himself as they come." I Interpret this to mean that If we get a chance to see something that will be for uf cultural betterment, we should not pasa up the opportunity. So In that note, we once again urge you to attend theU. of U. Concert tonight in the Social Hall. It begins at 8:15, and It's free. The Band Mothers are sponsoring the concert, and, as ,we said last week, this la probably the best band In the state. On the subject of Music, we at Pangultch High School have some of the best talent In the West. Saturday we will trek - -ovefthe mountain to Cedar City to the studios of KSUB to present a fifteen minute radio program, I sincerely hope everybody will listen to this program, and I'm sure you'll enjoy It. Elaine Truman, who halls from Hatch, and who has an outstand Ing voice, will sing. Adele Iver-son and Liz Ablstrom also will harmonize, and they are good too'. Above the shouting of whether this was a better prom than last year's, and whether this . one look In more money or not, , can be heard some fine compH-. menta about last week's Junior Prom. The decorations were different and pretty, and the floor show created by Mrs. Dlack was outstanding. The music was fgood, and everybody enjoyed fjlenry the Drummer, who was .enjoying himself. Henry was , real cool, and he was the most'. .They say "Life begins at 40"; illenry must have found the Fountain of Youthl Mr. Alden Black, the Vo. Ag. teacher and FFA Advisor, will take a bunch of Future Farmers to Salt Lake this weekend to the State Future Farmers Convention. Someone said the other day that he was disappointed that there was never any "Teen-Age Talk" In this column. I'm awfully sorry, but we don't use much of It here, and so I don't know a considerable amount. At any rate, you'll notice' how nicely I worked the-small bit I do know Into the prom section ot - ihl- piece of literature. |
