Show County Court. Tuesday, Jan. 3rd, all mom-bcrs mom-bcrs of the board of county commissioners met in regular session to finish up such business busi-ness that was unfinished, and to turn ovei the affahs of tho county to tho new officials. T.J. Udy appeared in sup-poit sup-poit of his claim for moving fence. Said claim allowed. C. H. Archibald appeared and stated Maggie Stokes had been orroncously - assessed. Koferred to treasurer and assessor. as-sessor. M. V. Rohwor stated that he had securod $283.00, $97.00 short of tho purchase price of right-of-way on tho section line west of cement plant. Also Al-so needed the amount necessary neces-sary to construct one mile of fence. $75.00 was appropriated to anply on purchase of right-of-way. Upon motion, the county's portion, and Willard City's portion por-tion of tho tax on personal property of the Willard Canning Can-ning Co. was remitted. Bonds of M. J. Richards, treasurer; Alvin Ipson, clerk; Peter M. Hansen, membor board of education; Joseph J. Anderson, constable, Bear River City; Owen L Brough, constable, Elwood; John Henry Gill, justice of the peaco, Yost; John F. Knudson, constable, Doweyville; F. W. Fishburn, member board of education; Hyrum F. Overson, constablo, Lucin; Clayton C. Herrington, justice of tho peace, Lucin; James N. Holdaway, surveyor; C. C. Poyne, assessor, wore pro- sented and approved. Comr. Richards reported that it would take 1700 feet of sewer pipo for the drain at East Garland Gar-land heretofore asked for. Domed. Do-med. Sheriff's roport for December presented and accepted. Board adjourned 3ine die promptly at 12 o'clock noon. Tho meeting of the newly elected board of county commissioners, com-missioners, convened a fow moments aftor 12 o'clock and Comr. Adams was named as chairman by unanimous consent. con-sent. C. F. Wells asked permission to change the county road on Sec. 30-9-5. Mr. Wells was asked to get a petition for chango. Appointment of Jos. Joseph-son Joseph-son as deputy sheriff for four months was ratified. Road Comr. Peirce was given permission to get out poll tax notices. Also reported 160 delinquents, de-linquents, which wore referred to attorney and Road Comr. for collection. 1). P. Woodland and S. E. Hinckley asked permission to write some insurance on the court house. Referred to clerk to look up. Petition of Jos. Hadfield and Chas. Munns to gravel road running north and south between be-tween Garland and Riverside, people to haul the gravel if the board would pay one-fourth cash, balance in one year, was referred to Comrs. Conley, Peirco and Adams for investigation. investig-ation. Deputy Sheriff Josephsou appeared ap-peared relative to selling of liquor at Lucin. Following deputies were confirmed: con-firmed: Mary Hoist, regular, and Harry Zonorfor two weeks, in the treasurer's office; Ada Johnson, deputy, Agnes Olsen, Rilla Pett and Margurito Wight, assistants in the recorder's office; Christena Stratford as an assistant in the assessor's office; Louiso Ingram and Geo. L. Johnson deputies in the clerk's office Matter of the bond of Sack-ett Sack-ett and Lindholm for the completion com-pletion of the court house, was referred to Comr. Larsen and Atty. W. J. Lowe. Clerk's, auditor's and recorder's record-er's report for December, 1910, were approved. Application of Dotson Hall for pool hall license at Portage, was gran tod. Clerk was instructed to instruct in-struct A. P. Hibbs of Hot Springs to file application for new license. Action on tho petition of residents res-idents of Fielding to incorpor ate the town, was deferred. Dr. J. Dwight Harding was appointed county physician. Two writton opinions from , tho Attorney General on tho matter of "Who are County i Officers" and "Witness Fees," woro read and ordered filod,and the clerk instructed to mail a copy of tho first named to tho, jR. M. B. Tol. Co. Dr. Rich's claim for expert testimony In the case of State vs. Blackenbury, was allowed for $1.50 per day and mileage. M. G. Korth was authorized to close up the opening bstweon the old and now building ou the second floor. County Tree inspector Carl Isaacson presented his report for 1910, which was approved. Tho board was asked to join the State League of Municipalities. Municipali-ties. Opening between old and now building on the .first floor, was referred to architect Wells, with instructions to make it full size of hall, if necessaiy.
