A now railroad, rail-road, tho Copper River & Northwestern", Northwest-ern", Is being built from Cordova to tho Interior, and at the end of tho lino a copper mine will bo dovoloped which Is ono of tho richest In tho world. Although Al-though Mr. Kerr was born In Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, and comos from a family fam-ily of wrltors and Btatesmen, ho hnB been In tho west for tho past twenty years, engaged ln nowspnper work, and railroading. Ho was tho first man to be ongaged at this end of tho line to exploit tho new road to Los Angeles An-geles (tho Salt Lako Route) and haB been ongagod on various other lines of promotion and exploitation. Ho Is also ono of tho best known newspaper men In tho west, and takes with him to his now field of notion a wealth of oxperlenco which spells success In his undertaking. |
