Show Funeral Services. Impressive funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in tho tabornaclo over the ro-mains ro-mains of Sussanah P. Bootho, that session of tho Quarterly conferonco being given over to that purpose. Tho stand was draped in white, and garlands of flowers woro hung about, bo-tokon bo-tokon the purity of lifo of tho deceased and the esteem in which sho was hold. Bishop Geo. W. Watkins presided. pre-sided. The hymns sung were "When first the glorious light of truth, etc.," Resting Now," and "Lead Kindly Light." Tho speakers wore Bishop Watkins, (Lewis Boothe, Sisters Cannon and Farnsworth of the gonoral Board of Reliof Society, who had boon specially appointed to attend tho sorvices, Pres. C. W. Penroso, Emelia D. Manson, Mary Harding, Pres. Oloen N. Stohl and Elder F. W. Fishburn. Fish-burn. The eulogies spoken were beautiful and true, and contained words of comfort, encouragement and doctrine pertaining to lifo eternal. The prayers were offered by Eldors William Horsley and L. A. Snow, respectively. Tho remains woro tenderly laid at rest in the cemetery, to await the call of tho trumpet to come forth and mingle with tho just. Box Elder News. |
