Show County Commissioners. Monday, February 21, tho board of commissioners of Box Elder County met. in regular session. A big batch of business busi-ness was disposed of. Some loss important matters were deferred. de-ferred. Joseph A. West, representing the Ogden and Northwestern Railroad Co., appeared and asked tho Board for a f ranchiso for his company to operate a railroad upon the public highways high-ways of the county. Action was deferred. J,. A. Capenor presented a petition pet-ition from rosidonts of Riverside asking for a change of the county road on Sections 11 and 14, Township 12 North, Range 3 W.-sr. The matter was deferred. In a communication irom Hans S. Larsen, the board was asked to change the county road on Sections G and 7, Township 10 North, Range 3 West, to run on t . v lino. Vction deferred. deferr-ed. S. A. Sackett appeared and stated that his bond for tho erection of tho new county court house, had not yet arrived, so he is not in a position to sign up tho contract at present. Tho appointment of Oscar Lind as deputy road commissioner commis-sioner for the Junction road district was ratified. An application from Evan Morgan was received asking for a license to conduct a pool hall at Collinstou. Tho clerk was instructed to issue license as soon as bond is approved. Communication was received from N. J. Valentiue relative to coal for smudge pots. Tho matter mat-ter was referred to Chairman Valontiue. County Surveyor J. N. Hold-away Hold-away presented tho road map of the county, which upon motion, mo-tion, was approved. N. J. Valentine appeared and reported his trip"' to Salt Lake City as a delegate to tho State Horticulture convention. Ho stated that tho next convention was to be held in Brigham City in 1911. Tho bond of Wm. Adams, justico of tho peace of East Garland, was approved. Jos. Posh was appointed constable con-stable for the Corinno precinct. Upon motion Erastus Hanson was appointed constable for the Box Elder precinct. A number of claims wore allowed. |
