I The self-denial that imposes systematic saving, even though the income be a small one, develops a strong, rugged character. The business man who willingly meets the opposing forces that stand in the way of his progress and overcomes them, develops a strong, robust personal character that does things. Such men are in demand. The man who maintains a savings account is not ft honored by men because he has saved money, but because he has y developed a strong character by the practice of that self-denial that made saving possible and successful. It is rare indeed to ! find such a character developed u ndcr conditions of prosperity I that has been inherited or that the man himself has not created for himself.
