Tho board of managers man-agers of that body referred them for examination and report to a subcommittee sub-committee of exports, comprising Henry Gannet, chief geographer of the United States Geological survey; Rear Admiral Colby M. Chester, U. 8. N., and O. H. TItman, superintendent superin-tendent of tho United States Coast and Geodetic survey. Tho society announced thnt tho only question It now had to decldo was whether Commander Com-mander Peary reached the North pole on tho date claimed. Tho experts designated by the society so-ciety will hold thedr first meeting within a row days and Inaugurate their Investigation of tho Peary data. |
