Show To Voters of Garland. A call was duly made for a citizens' party ticket and a primary pri-mary of said party was duly held on Thursday evening, October 14th, at which tho following fol-lowing ticket was placed in the field, for members of the town board: For President, Mosiah Evans; for Trustees, John T. Lant, Joseph Jensen, Joseph W. Lewis and Harry Boyd. This meeting was well attended, not less than 65 of the representative represent-ative citizens of tho town being present and a fair and equal chance given to all to voice ( their sentiments and choose the candidates. Compare this pri-1 mary with the one held on tho 1 following evening when, as near as the writer can learn, only two erratic citizens, ono who, participated in tho first primary m direct violation of the laws of the state and the other a very short-timo resident of tho town, met some whoro without call or any other means of notifying noti-fying the public and placed an. illegal ticket in the field, which had no, rightful place on the official ballot and was so ruled by the officer having, jurisdiction in tho matter. Now I desire to appeal to tho fair-minded citizens of tho town to ascertain whether or not it is their wish to have their rights infringed upon by allowing two disguntled runacades to forumalato a ticket for them. In my judgement the citizens placed a strong ticket in the field and tho community com-munity can restasured that tho ordinances of tho town will bo strictly inforced and an economical, econo-mical, honest and impartial administration ad-ministration of the affairs of tho town is assured when tho above gentlemen are elected and tako their- respective positions.
