Our Band.- Sunday afternoon tho members of tho Garland Military Hand held a meeting at thu ball and unanimously decided to "hang together" for tho spring and summer sum-mer season. Owing to five vacancies having to be filled, invitations were sent out soliciting the aid of five new members to complete the organization. Tho first band practlco this year wa held at tho hall Thursday evening. At this meeting the old olllcers of tho band were honorably released and the following fol-lowing now olllcers selected: Prcst. David Dartou; Secretary fc Trcas,, J T Roberts; Lender A; Instructor, Jos. H Klrkham. It was decided by the members mem-bers present that each member bo assessed asmall fee to pay for Mr. Klrkham's services as leuder and instructor The innttcr of securing a suitable practice room was discussed and II C Cutler was appointed to look into the matter. Tho boys have started out right and should receive encouragement from the own board and the business bouses In assisting them to keep up tho iceord of the Garland Military Hand. Aftor tho practice tho Band scraua-ded scraua-ded the town.
