Show County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners Com-missioners met July 17th. Full board present. The petition of J. E. Montgomery Montgom-ery asking for an appropriation of $150 to repair roads in Yost District was upon motion granted and money appropriated. The petition of James W. Palmer Pal-mer et ni,, asking that road between be-tween Cedar Springs and Lake Station be changed and estimated estimat-ed that jt would require $300 to change same and put in a puss-able puss-able condition. J. W. Palmer appeared in support thereof. Referred Re-ferred to Com. Jones for investigation. investi-gation. 'I he petition of Moroni Ward t al akmg for an vappropriation of $400 to purchase material to drain road on west side of n w (-4 of sec 26, tp. 12 n r 3 w. J. II. vVelling appealed in support of same. Upon motion of Com. Jones referred to attorney for written opinion. The petition of John D. Peters et al asking that a bridge be built across Bear River west of Honeyville. John P. Holmgren, Moroni Mortensen, F. J, Welling appeared in sup port. Messrs Israel and Ben Hun-saker Hun-saker appeared and promised to furnish the right of way leading to proposed bridge. Granted upon motion of Mr. Hart. Nels Anderson, Ander-son, road supervisor of Mantua district, appeared and asked for an appropriation to finish Box Elder canyon road in Mantua district. Upon motion of chr. Valentine $75 was appropriated. The resignation of Chas. Vicks as road supervisor of Kelton district, dis-trict, wub upon motion accepted and II. Christofferson appointed to fill vacancy. The resignation of N. C. Jeppson as registration officer of Mantua was accepted and A. M. Jensen appointed to fill vacancy. Letter of Hoeckcl & Go. regarding steel shelves for recorder's vault referred to clerk. The deed of Wm. Robinson and wife to land for county road, was upon motion accepted. Commun-' Commun-' ication from National Irrigation Congress a?king that five dele gates be appointed to attend said congress to be held in Boise, Ida. I Sept. 3rd to 8th 1906, was read I and action deferred, The sheriff's I report of fees collected during I June, 1906, was presented aqd H accepted. ' The financial report H of Box Elder county for year H ending June 30th, 1906 was pre- H sented and upon motion accepted and published. The clerk was instructed to forward through the mail, the financial report furnish ed by W. H. Moore. Brig Jen-sen, Jen-sen, road supervisor of Box Elder disttict, appeared and asked for an appropriation of $225 to grav-el grav-el road from the slough to turn ot road going west, also for $25 to finish road in Box Elder canyon. Upon motion of Mr. Jones $250 was appropriated to gravel road west of slough and $50 to finish road in Box Elder canyon. Upon motion of chr. Valentine, Tour miles was cut from Promontory district and added to Rawlins; three and one half from Terrace and added to Clear Creek and three and one half cut off from " 'Terrace and added to Yost. Nor. I man Lec appeared and asked j that the board reconsider the nc-tion nc-tion of the previous session in awarding the contract for print-ing print-ing notices etc to the Box Elder Paper Co. Upon motion of Mr. Jones, the chairman und clerk were authorized to open the bids for constructing the bridge adver-Used adver-Used (or, over Beaver Dam and award the contract. Upon motion of Mr. Jones the hid of James W. Palmer to repair road between the Little Mountain and Connor's springs for 5350 was accepted. Adjourned for three weeks, |
