When tho train renched tho curvo It was running at a speed estimated by some at sixty miles an hour. Both motors and tho smoking car swung safely around tho curve, but tho other cars left the rails and plunging over on their sides with a terrific crash, tore up tho tracks for a hundred yards before thoy collapsed. Of those Instantly killed, by far tho greatest number wero women. Many wore mangled beyond recognition. Many of the injured wero quickly extricated ex-tricated from tho wrecknge, while othors wore so pinioned that they could not be taken out for some time. Tho cause of the wreck has not been officially determined.
