Mr. and Mrs. David Darton made a visit to the county seat yesterday, H C Vanausdcln left Monday for Twin Falls prepared to begin spring work on his land In that vicinity. Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. M 0 Hansen celebrated their cotton wedding, being married Just one year. About thirty-five Invited guests were present and they were presented with about forty spools of cotton. Games were indulged In and refreshments served. An enjoyable evening was spent. Everybody In Garland got "soaked" (with rain) Washington's Birthday. Most of the business houses and the public schools closed in honor of the day. Thursday afternoon the public schools celebrated the day In tbo various departments depart-ments with Washington day cxrcclio,, In the evening a Washington's Hlrthday dance was given at the hall by the Gar-and Gar-and Dance Orchestra, which was well attended.
