Show THE PASSING OF ALLRED funeral services for joseph parley allred were held in the mt hit carmel church may 5 1930 the services were attended by a large crowd of people of the mt lit carmel and surrounding wards the floral offerings and the singing were very beautiful the opening prayer was offered by alfred R meeks of the Or Orde derville iville ward and the speakers were isaac langston of Sp springdale ringdale who spoke of 0 the boy hood life of mr allred elder verdell lamb edward T lamb bishop osmer lamb of the iho mt carmel ward and bishop edward carroll of the Or orderville derville ward each of the speakers dwelt upon the many good attributes of the deceased the singing in order was as follows solo ill go where you want me to go bishop osmer lamb duet wanted on the other side verdell B E lamb and mrs lola iola talt tait solo 1 I know that my redeemer lives by whitney gifford of Sp springdale ringdale duet whispering hope by edna 0 and lela 0 lamb closing song 1 I know my heavenly father knows by david stevens closing prayer earl J after the services the body was taken to Or derville for burial joseph parley allred was born at Shuns burg washington county utah december 26 1864 and lived there during his bis life before marriage he was one of seventeen children born bora to john J and mary Y allred who were prominent pi eminent settlers in the dixie country he married rosina brown of order ville june 13 1888 and to this union eight children were born seven of whom are still living during hla Is lifetime he has been a faithful church member and worker in the different organizations being sunday school superintendent a number of years a ward teacher during the greater part of hla his life and at the time of 0 his death a member of the high priests quorum mr allred had been ailing during a greater part of the winter however his death which was caused by an internal ruptured abeels came as a bebock to all as he was waa seriously ill but one day before his bis death deatle which occurred saturday lie he la is survived by hla his widow seven charen thirteen grandchildren two brothers and tour four sisters to mourn his passing also many arl adi to whon whom he has rendered many kill kind acts |
