He was sobered up and repentant re-pentant this morning, and as it was impossible to ascertain who sold him he whisky he was allowed to depart. Geo. Hughes, the gambler who was recently convicted here of robbery committed on "the strip" near Fort DuChesne and after released from the penitentiary having been granted a new trial by the supreme court was yesterday snot and killed by Jim Mi.ler in Mase'a saloon on "the strip." The trouble that resulted in the shooting shoot-ing arose over, a game of three card monte. |
