Show DIED AT CASTILLA. Mra. Arrow-smith of Payson Taken With Hemorrhage of the Lungs While Bathing1 Bath-ing1 Other Accidents A Day's Pleasure Sadly Marred. Yesterday, the Twenty-Fourth, was Castilla's greatest day of the season, speaking from a business point of view. Upwards of a thousand people spent the day at the beautiful and healthful mountain resort. Horse races and bicycle races were run, dancing was indulged in, the Payson and Provo choirs did some good singing. sing-ing. The refreshment stands, hotel, baths and other conveniences of the resort were well managed and equipped and all the wants of the guests were amply supplied. A most delightful day was spent by all present. pre-sent. Toward evening, however, a most deplorable incident occurred that cast a deep gloom over all the pleasure seekers. Mrs. Albert Arrowsmith of Payson, a lady perhaps 30 years of age, has been" a sufferer for sometime, some-time, with consumption, and has frequently fre-quently been taken with coughing spells causing her to epit blood. Yesterday, Yes-terday, howeyer, she was feeling much better and was quite jovial. About 3 o'clock after partafcine of quite a hearty dinner ehe went into the plunge bath. There she remained upwards of half an hour. The water and the exertion weakened her and 6he wag taken with one of her coughing cough-ing spells, She was taken out of the water and to a room in the hotel where under the treatment ot Dr. Bryant, one of the managers of the retort, and Dr. Fort of P3 son, who was on the ground, was thought to be recovering and the amusements of the day jrn- ceeded. Near 9 o'clock the throng were startled and thocked to near that i the lady had died. The deceased's husband is absent on a mission in England where he has been for nearly two years. Neither has any relatives in Utah, their fam-lies fam-lies all living in England where tbey emigrated from. A little 9-year-old girl ,is the only child of Mr. and. Mrs. Arrowsmith. bhe was at Castilla with her mama and it was heartrending to witness her grief when they carried her beloved mother a corpse away from the resort. Miss Polly Johnson of this city was taken with a fainting epell while in the bath and had to be carried to the train. A 10-year-old daughter of Mrs. Loveless Love-less of Payson fell from a swing and hurt her arm. No bones were broken. D. L.
