Show Briefs From Smtaquin. To the Editor of the Evening Dispatch Politics here have raised to the highest degree, and also lowered to the lowest degree. The present year, 1894, has brought us a seven foot marshal with a three and a-ha!f toot policeman both in our favor, democrats. The people of Santaquin were treated to a surprise last week. The assistant county officer came down from Provo and qnittly applied for a recommend. He will visit Salt Lake soon. There will be two dances given on Tuesday evening, one in the opera house in behalf of the Y. L. M. I. as sociation, the other at C. Nisonger'a in behalf of a good time. At each dance supper will be served. Through tbe holiday week? sleigh-riding sleigh-riding and dancing were the main pleasures pleas-ures indulged in by our people. The new Eocial hall which is being built by the Silver orchestra bands will soon be completed. Alma Openshaw is papa of a bounc ing 10-pound democrat.
