We were today shown some samples of onyx from the ledges owned by Attorney At-torney A E. Veatch and his partner, R E. Chaee. The ledges are Ipes than two miles from the heart ot the citv, near the mouth of Slate canyon on the north bank, and are more feasible for working purposes than any discovery yet made in the territory. The discovery was made about two months ago, but has been kept a secret uniil now. We are informed by Mr. Veatch that the supply is practicallv iuexhaustable.
