W., passed through I Provo yesterday on their way to Thistle, where they will start work to-dav widening the guage of the R. G. W . betw een Thistle and Salina. This morning Superintendent Welbv, and the ollicials will leave Thistle and start over the road, while the : workmen will be scattered along the ' route. When the official's car, which j will be the last narrow guage train to ; go over the road, will have reached Salina, Sa-lina, the word will be telegraphed to each gang of men to start to work, anil in just live hours after the given signal the entire line of eighty miles will be changed to standard guage.
