Show Meeting ef the Board of Education. On Saturday evening the Hoanl of Education held a session in the law office of Booth & Wilson, w ith President Booth in the chair. Prof. Giles, Mrs. Grace Anderson. Ella Larson and Emma Thatcher declined de-clined to accept the positions offered them. Maliel Pratt, Mary Nuttall and Mrs. Terry were elected to positions in the schools. The clerk submitted l;is financial statement for the last six months, which was accepted and ordered printed. It w ill lie found in another column. The following appropriations were made: Edward Farrer, janitor, $12; Book and Stationery Co., reading chart and supplies. $7.5-5; John Dever, janitorial work, $12.50; M. Hansen, j labor at West school, $6: Hardy &J Newell, hauling sand, 4.50; 11. A. Saunders, locks, $4. The bill of the Minneapolis School Furniture Co.. amounting to $175.40, for school furniture and supplies, was presented. The clerk was instructed to deduct the interest and the freight, and the balance was ordered paid. The Board then adjourned sine die. |
