Business was very dull before Judge Blackburn the. early part of the week, this morning being the only time matters mat-ters have assumed any kind of animation anima-tion in judicial circles. On Monday there was no business and court was dismissed until Tuesday at 10 o'clock. On Tuesday morning the case of Jacob Ja-cob Iloutz vs. Jas. Whitehead was Ms-missed, Ms-missed, as also the case of Provo F :t Co-op. ys. Gotlieb Klinger. Court then adjourned until 10 o'clock this morning. This morning the case of tlie Peoid;; vs. Donald McPherson was called. Jno. M. Zane prosecuted and A. G. Sutherland defended. Defendant is charged with the murder of Luther Palmer at Richfield, Utah, March 15, 1891, on which he was arraigned last Tuesday and plead not guilty. The entire forenoon was spent in impaneling a jury for this case, each side being allowed fifteen challenges. A special venire was issued for five additional ad-ditional jurors and court adjourned until two o'clock. |
