Show DYER'S WITHDRAWAL. He Resigns From the Liberal Lib-eral Committee. He Says tho Liberal Party Is No Longer Needed. The following letter by Mr. F. II. Dyer, is good readiug just now: 'Salt Lake City, Utah, May 20, 1S91. "Hon. O. W. Powers, chairman Territorial Liberal Committee, Suit Luke City. "Dear Sin I was elected by the last Liberal convention a member of the Territorial Liberal cwmmittee, and by that committee named as chairman ol the last campaign committee, and contributed my tune, and as liberally of my means, as any other man in the Territory for the success of the party and ils candidates. It has always been well understood, however, that the Liberal party was only a temporary tempora-ry organization to meet a like local organization, or-ganization, and whose mission would cease with the removal of certain local conditions. I now fully believe it has periormed ils mission, and that all the local (iill'erences heretofore dividing our people have practically been settled, set-tled, and that to-day there is a spirit of loyalty permeating the hearts of all the people of this Territory excelled in no other State or Territory of this grand union. The whole people are to-day fighting for one common end the glorification of their country, differing dif-fering among themselves as to meth-oilsonly. meth-oilsonly. If it is conceded that the Liberal party has had anything to do wiili bringing about this grand "result 1 am glad that I have been a humble worker mils ranks. All fair-minded men, however, must con!e.-s that there is no longer any necessity for its continuance. con-tinuance. I, therefore, feel that the office which i hold lias lapsed by reason rea-son of the lapse of the party. Fearing, Fear-ing, however, that I may be accused by some w ho may honestly and sincerely sincere-ly differ with me of standing in the way of the accomplishment of their wishes, I respectfully resign all my connection with that party, and declare de-clare myself in favor of organization on national party lines. The Central Democratic club of Salt Lake county has spoken in ho uncertain terms fori sue i division, and I am heartily in ac- j cord witbit, believing as I do most sin- : erely that the continued prosperity of this fair Territory depends largely up- I on su.-li course, which must very soon j re.il iii S;atehood to us. our popula-j tio.-! tipi.iiing that of Idaho, Wyoming am.
