Show THE DEMOCRATIC CALL. The call by the Democratic club of this city for a meeting in the Courthouse Court-house on Friday evening shoulu be well attended. The political situation of the Territory at the present time demands earnest and thoughtful consideration, con-sideration, and in no better way can this be accomplished than by attending attend-ing meetings at which the principles of either political party are discussed. The movement inaugurated by the handful of Democrats in this city last winter has grown from the very com J mencemeut. At first it seemed very unwise and inopportune to the people, and had the effect of calling forth the ridicule of several of the "Daniels" with which every city is infested. But time, which - works all things, is demonstrating dem-onstrating that the movement was rife, and that it came at a time when a change was needed. The platform of principles drafted at that time was signed by but eight individuals. Since then others have beheld the revolution coming, and have added their names to the list, until now the membership swells up to nearly one hundred voters. Every citizen should be in attendance attend-ance at the meeting on Friday night. It is open to all. No Democrat will be debarred from participating either in the business of the meeting or in ex pressing his views upon the movement. move-ment. Let there be a rousing turnout. |
