Show TJses For Kites. Strangely enough the kite, that favorite favor-ite plaything every boy brings out in ie spring, is being tried in experiments r saving ships in a wreck off shore, i lie kite to carry the rope from ship to ah re or shore to ship. Some one the other day, by using two strings to a kite and so guiding it, -were able to have the kite drag them in a wagon. Perhaps it will be by means of this little plaything, after aft-er all, that some day we go sailing over the clouds in one of the airships all of us have dreamed about. New York World, |
