Show Thursday, November 18, 2010 Obituary Society The Gunnison Valley Gazette Page 3 Wedding Axtell News by AUDREY BOORE Mark Lewis Redmond, Utah - In loving memory of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Mark Lewis, age 48, of Redmond, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mark was born March 15, 1962 in Gunnison, a son of Adelbert "Dell" and Betty Lou Dennison Lewis. He graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1980. Mark worked at the SUFCO Coal Mine for over eighteen years. He married Charmaine Jensen on August 8, 1981 in Gunnison. They have two children Jamie (Jerimy) Aaron and Dexter Mark Lewis (Sam Roberts); and one granddaughter, who was the light of her grandpa's eyes, Breklee J. Aaron, and a grandson expected in January. He was a loving family man and loved to spend time with his family. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. He loved to ride horses and spend time in the mountains. He was a father to every child that entered our home. He was always the one to give advice or help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and many, many friends and neighbors. Mark is survived by wife Charmaine Lewis of Redmond; daughter: Jamie and Jerimy Aaron of Richfield and their daughter, Breklee J. Aaron; son: Dexter Mark Lewis and Sam Roberts of Redmond; their baby, Daxton expected in January; brother Glen and Natalie Lewis of Aurora; sister Pauline and Charles Keeran Las Vegas, Nevada; father and mother-in-law: Jay L and Stella Lee Jensen of Axtell, brothers and sisters-in- law: Douglas and Teresa Frandsen, San Antonio, Texas; Randy and Sharon Frandsen of California; Catherine and Kendall Bartholomew of Mayfield; Sally and Trent Nielsen, Salina. He is preceded in death by his parents Dell and Betty Lou Lewis; and a brother-in-law: Murray Edwards. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 12 Noon in the Redmond 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends called for viewing Friday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. and Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial was in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. Condolences are extended to Jay and Stella Lee Jensen and family with the loss of sonin-law Mark Lewis of Redmond, husband of Charmaine Jensen Lewis. Funeral services were held on Saturday November 13th in Redmond. Congratulations to the students at Gunnison Valley High School and Middle School who made the honor roll for the first quarter of 2010. The following students earned this honor: Jennie Often, Benjamin Bastian, Bryce Sorensen, McKayla Dumas, Elli Reber, Matthew Mecham, Tanesha Ekker, Chad Boore, Bailey Thatcher, Hailee Buckland, Dalton Burr, Danielle Boore, JoDee Hartley, Jean Buckland, Kalyce Bastian, Belle Blackburn, Kelvin Robertson - Yardley Bret Russell Yardley and Audrey Robertson are excited to announce their marriage on November, 20, 2010, in the Logan Temple. Bret is the son of Russell and Cynthia Yardley and the grandson of Gene and Anita Yardley, both of Mayfield. Audrey is the daughter of Reed and Jacque Robertson of Hyde Park, Utah. Bret graduated from Gunnison Valley High School in 2006 and served a mission in Connecticut. Audrey graduated from Sky View High School in 2008. They are both students at Southern Utah University; Audrey is in the nursing program, while Bret is studying business. They will make their home in Cedar City while finishing school. Bastian, Mallori Reber, Josie Sorensen, Sharlene Otten, and Dustin Zeeman. Elder Charlie Hammond will leave Wednesday November 17th for his mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Puebla, Mexico. Elder Hammond is the son of Julie and Loni Hammond of Fayette and the grandson of Kaye Despain and the late Marius Despain. McKell Camp and Richard Gordon Nielson were married Friday November 12th in the Manti Temple. McKell is the granddaughter of Julia and Elwood Sorensen. Wishing all many blessings for the Thanksgiving holiday.
