This is the last year that tags will be sold at sites other than the district office. “This change was made for the convenience of our customers,” said Jeff Gardner, District Ranger. “We have arranged to have adequate permits for sale, so customers can pick them up anytime during the 30-day sale period.” Customers should come prepared to pay with correct change or a check. The forest service cannot accept credit or debit cards, or make change. The forest officer selling tags will issue each purchaser cutting instructions. Those traveling long distances should call the district office in advance to determine if permits are still available. Vehicle access, except for snow machines, must be confined to established roads on the Forest. Roads may be muddy, snow packed and slick. Be prepared for winter driving conditions. |
