Rosenvall HOSPITAL VOLUNTEERS Special thanks and recognition are given to the hospital volunteers for organizing the annual Gunnison Valley Hospital and Home Care Health Fair held on October 25th. By all measures, the health fair was a success with attendance greatly surpassing any previous year. The health care related services offered at the fair were very informative and helpful. The success of the health fair, with the benefit to the community, is attributed to the volunteers and their efforts. We also express appreciation to all those who participated in the health fair in any way. Anderson - Tam Ardean and Melody G. Anderson are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Brittany Joan Anderson to Edison Tam, son of Hay Tam and Maria Tam. Brittany is a graduate of Gunnison High School in 2000 and Snow College in 2003. After serving an LDS mission in Richmond, Virgina from 2004-2005, she attended the University of Utah where she completed her Bachelor Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science in 2007. While attending the University of Utah she met Edison Tam who was also completing his schooling to be a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Edison is a 1990 graduate of Cyprus High School and a 2002 graduate of Salt Lake Community College. He also completed his Bachelors Degree at the University of Utah in 2006. He is currently working for ARUP’s Transfusions Services at the University of Utah Hospital. The couple will begin their new life together in West Valley City. Grandparents of the bride are Erma Anderson and the late Roy Anderson of Mayfield and Joan Glade and the late Keith Glade of South Jordan. A reception will be held in their honor on November 22nd between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Gunnison City Hall, 38 West Center Street, Gunnison. If for any reason you have been overlooked, please accept this as your personal invitation. These will be used to help pass the time for hospital patients, by giving them access to movies and other entertainment. If anyone would like to donate DVDs or VHS tapes to the volunteers to add to their collection, please stop by the hospital and give your donation to the volunteers in the front lobby. HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY RECOGNITION The week of November 2nd was designated as national “Health Information Management and Technology” recognition week. Employees in the hospital’s health information management department take care of all patient medical records. They work behind the scenes in a very important part of health care, ensuring that patient medical records are complete and follow state and federal regulations. We recognize and express appreciation to the employees at Gunnison Valley Hospital who work faithfully Shelly Lemon (Manager), Shelly Atwood, Kristen Hansen, Emily Walk, Misty to ensure accurate and complete medical records.
