Show Society Thursday Five Generations First Birthdays Madison Kate Sorensen Nathan Eldon Miller will be returning home, from serving a mission in the England Manchester Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Friday, July 21st. He will be speaking in the Gunnison 2nd Ward at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 23rd. Friends and family are invited to attend. Nathan is the son of Eldon and Marsha Miller. He is the grandson of Lowell and Flora Miller of Fallon, Nevada and Jerry and Irene Spivey of High Point, North Carolina. John and Jane Doe Brinley Hansen la Thompkins of Centerfield, great-grandmother Gerda Caldwell of Gunnison and great-great grandmother Carla Kiersten Sophia Anderson of Centerfield who she was named after. Kiersten Sophia Phelps was born to Steven and Marcie Phelps of Springville on July 11, 2006. She completes this five generation photo taken with her mother, grandmother Ange- Mark Pickett and the late Junior Hansen' of Centerfield, and the late Evan and Marjorie Mickelsen of Redmond. All of Brinley's family is so excited to spend this special day with her. Mark V. He had to have stitches in his head (looks like a third eye brow) and broken nose which he will have some corrective surgery later this week. Get well wishes to Glen. On Thursday, at the Nancy and Chris Goff home, a fire started while all the family was gone except the little dog. Nancy's sister, Debra was out in the yard and saw the smoke and called the Gunnison Fire Department. There is a lot of smoke and soot damage to the house. The little dog was gotten out of the house safely by a fireman. Nancy, Chris and boys are staying with Karl and Debra until the repairs can be made to their house. Nicole Mecham played softball on the Gunnison Fox team and placed first in the Ephraim Lions Tourney last week. Jodee Hartley and Danielle Boore played on the younger girl's team at the Ephraim Lions Tourney also. With all the flooding in the Gunnison area Thursday, July 13th, out Axtell way, we only got a trace of rain along with the wind. Bryant Davis and Allen Boore played on the 14-15 year-old boy's team in the Babe Ruth Utah South Tournament last week in Panquitch and came home as champions. They are playing this week in the Babe Ruth Statewide Tournament held in Taylorsville. They won the first game played Saturday, July 15th. The next game is Monday evening in Taylorsville. • Kolten Christiansen, Tyrell Hansen, Allen Boore and Ben Boore spent last week at the Varsity Scout Camp on Skyline Drive. , Axtell's annual July summer party will be held on Saturday, July 22nd at 5 p.m. on Anthony's Flat up Willow Creek. There will be lots to eat and fun games with a short program. Happy Birthday Madison! Our "Cute Little Bug", Brinley Hansen, will celebrate her first birthday on Wednesday, July 19. Brinle/s favorite treat is her great-grandpa Bown's homemade beef jerky.
