Show Fiesta Days 2009 Welcome to Fiesta Days 2009 We would like to give a warm welcome to Spanish Fork citizens, past and present, along with your family and friends to your 2009 Fiesta Days celebration! Our theme this year, "Living the Dream," was the inspiration of Richard Davis, a member of the Executive Fiesta Days Committee and the representative on our committee from the City Council. As Richard proposed his thoughts and purpose behind these three simple words, every committee member lit up and joined in with why and how they are "Living the Dream" by being a citizen in Spanish Fork, and not just during our Fiesta Days celebration, but all year long. It's been our pleasure and opportunity to raise our family in Spanish Fork, secure good employment, and live in a clean, safe city where great neighbors and friends are abundant. As the parents of five children, Ashlie and John Hughes, Trade and Cody Bradford, Tyler and Kellie Shepherd, Ben and Ashley Shepherd, Katie and Jared Auger and 19 and 3/4 grandchildren, it's a proven fact that there was and still is something for everyone here. Every citizen of Spanish Fork can live their dream. Now it's the dream of the Fiesta Days Committee that every citizen of Spanish Fork review the large variety of activities offered during your celebration. Decide which activities you are going to participate in and plan your schedule accordingly so you can attend as many as possible with your family, friends and neighbors. We're looking forward to enjoying many wonderful events, spending time with those we love and create lasting memories. We are excited to teach our grandchildren to stand tall and respectful, with their hand over their heart, and be proud and grateful as our American flag leads every parade, rodeo and other activities. It's been a great enjoyment serving on the Fiesta Days Committee with the other volunteer citizens, along with the many Spanish Fork City employees. Our heartfelt thanks go to each of you for your service and dedication. For without you, this celebration wouldn't be. If you're reading this and having the thought, "I want to get involved," contact a member of the committee. New volunteers are always welcome and greatly needed. If you're a business and would like to sponsor one of the various activities, contact a committee member as well for an opportunity to do so. Now let the celebration begin and start "Living the Dream!" Respectfully, Terry and Lil Shepherd 2009 Fiesta Days Chairman so you can continue Living the Dream" WESTERN STATES INSURANCES Auto • Home • Business • Insuring Your World Namon Bills / Spanish Fork News Fiesta Days Committee.. 3 Miss Spanish Fork . . . . 11 Grand Marshals .. 4 "Singin' in the R a i n " . . . . 12 Events Calendar 5 Local Cowboys 14 Parade Line-up 6 Singing Sisters 15 Flag Retirement 7 DFRC Board 16 Cemetery Dedication . . . 8 Rodeo Queen 17 Nathan Osmond Car Show Returns . . . . 19 Lane Henderson Namon Bills Dana Robinson Kate Jarman 10 Publisher Editor Associate Editor, Business Manager Ad Design This is a publication of The Spanish Fork News, 42 East 300 North, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
