The former Spanish Fork Don was one of the starting pitchers on the 2006 state championship team. Castteberry earned the award after his nine inning complete game victory over Kansas State at Miller Park in Provo. Castleberry tossed an amazing 142 pitches while allowing only four hits, and striking out nine. Castleberry had at least one strike out in eight of the nine innings. He also set the Wildcats down in order in the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth innings. Nelson is the son of Neil Castleberry and Larraine Nelson. He is the older brother of Chase, Cole, and Annalee Castleberry.
