Love, Duane, Marcy, Matt, Jace, Jill, Easton and Jade' Warren, Webster April 2 marks the 80th birthday for Leon (C.L.) Abbott, a long time resident of Spanish Fork. His greatest achievement is his family. In 1950 he married Louise Snell, and they had four children: sons Larry Lane, Dale Jay, and David, one daughter Janene (David) Strate. Their family now includes five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Leon has served his Church and community in many ways, including as Bishop and Bishop's counselor, High Counselor, Elders President, and seventies resident. He has worked in the Provo Temple for two dozen years. He helped organize both the Spanish Fork Boy's baseball program, and Utah Baseball for boys. He served as President of both organizations. Craig and Susan Warren are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Ashlee Warren, to Scott Webster, son of Jim and Shame Webster. The ecstatic couple has chosen April 4 to begin their happily ever after in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. All friends and family of the couple are invited to attend a reception in their honor on April 10, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. at the Primrose Retreat, 978 East Expressway Lane, Spanish Fork. Obituary Robert James Andrews He worked at Geneva Steel Plant, and retired after thirty-five years as Coke Battery Heating Foreman. Then Leon worked for ten years for Songers Corp, and traveled to several different areas to work for them. Unique Jewelry, Watches $10-$50 Robert James Andrews of Spanish Fork, passed away on March 25, 2008, at the age of 86. Bob was born September 23,1921,inChateaugay,N.Y. He spent his early years in several towns in upper state New York. Bob graduated from Oswegatchie High School and joined the United States Navy before World War II. He was a survivor of Pearl Harbor serving on the USS Honolulu. During the war, he served on the USS Alpine. Just before his discharge, on leave, he traveled to Spanish Fork where he met his future wife. Bob married Verona Argyle December 12, 1946 in Lake Shore. They were married for 61 years. He spent the remainder of his life in Spanish Fork. In 1961, he became a member of the LDS church and they were sealed in the Manti Temple. Together they had three children, Don, Janell and Joe. Bob worked for Geneva Steel, retiring after 36 years. He then worked at Mountain View Hospital. His earlier years were spent playing baseball, both in New York and Spanish Fork, boxing (to the day he died, he still had the strongest grip), and he also enjoyed deer hunting with his friends. He .loves playing with his sisters and brother, Cheyenne, Jennifer and Chace. His grandparents are Doug and Janette Painter, and Jan Miller. His greatgrandmothers are Lois Haney and Lucille Painter. His greatgreat-grandmother is Faye Warren. Aingeleah NaTasha Ford OursweetlittleAingeleah, ( Leah ) is celebrating her first birthday on Friday, April 4. Her parents, Brad and Tahsha Ford, are so excited for their little girl. She is such a fun baby! She is full of life, and she loves all those around her. She loves to wave, and smile at • everyone who talks to her. Leah is so active! She loves being outside playing with her dogs and her horses. We love to watch her play and learn! Leah, we all love you so Leah is blessed with lots of family. Her grandparents much and we are so excited to are Doug and Carol Ford, watch you grow and learn! Bob and Verona enjoyed traveling, making many trips back to New York. Bob is survived by his wife, Verona; son, Robert Don (Jill) Andrews, Spanish Fork; daughter, Janell (Steven) Money, Palmyra; and daughter-in-law, Susan (David) Duke, Bountiful, Utah; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lynn Andrews; grandson. Lance Andrews Money; and great granddaughter, Jacelynn Roundy. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 29. Eric Murdock of Spanish Fork was awarded his Eagle Scout award on Mar. 9, 2008. He is 14 years old and is an active member of Team 74 in Palmyra District of the Utah National Parks Council.
