Eighty-eight high school sophomores from around the state attended. Spanish Fork Kiwanis Club sponsored two youth, Elisha Bunn and Carlos Garcia, to represent Spanish Fork High School. Elisha and Carlos met recently with the Kiwanis Club and told of their experiences, while attending the two day conference. They were impressed with several panel discussions on various topics. While there they were taught skills on how to get along with people and to look for potential in the students they associate with at school. From BEARS • A2 DEBBIE ^ V BOBBI BASKETBALL INSTRUCTION: Tim LaComb, men's basketball director of operations at BYU, recently spoke to the Kiwanis Club about the current BYU team and the 2007-2008 season. He told the group about several special experiences that he has had since he was a youth with former BYU basketball teams. He said that the public should expect great things from this year's team and they will be very fun to watch during the season. He had a great deal of praise for Coach Rose and said the coach has a special influence on all his players. President Chad Bunn made arrangements for and introduced LaComb to the club. Missionary 1st Birthday Jessie Mae Loss Kasen Lee Jorgensen Jessie Mae Loss has been called to serve the Lord in the Bangkok, Thailand Mission. She will enter the MTC on Oct. 24, 2007.
