Show PAINTBALL From page 5 "I'm really strict about safety," Jones said. "People lose an eye because they take off their mask and get hit." During the summer, JT's Performance Paintball sets up bunkers in afield. They don't charge for people to use it right now. Jones said they will probably be setting it up within the next week or two and anyone who wants to go can call 753-1810 for details. "We're the only specialty paintball store in the valley. We can special order parts and different brands of paint," he said. "People think because we're a specialty store, they're going to pay a lot more. We have very competitive prices for the valley." Jones said people getting into the sport should rent their equipment the first couple of times because it's cheaper to rent if they end up not liking it. At JT's, located at 1085 N. Main #10 in Logan, renting costs $9 for the marker, mask and the CO2 tank. Markers at JT's range in price from $55 to more than $1,000, and paintballs start at $9 and go to $16 for a bag of 500. Jones said the paintball size will be more consecutive the more they cost. "Lower-end [paintballs] will sometimes look like an 8 and throw off the shot," Jones said. There are several places in the valley that sell paintball equipment. Almost any sporting goods store sells equipment now.
