Show Wednesday, October !, 1969 DESERET NEWS, !d - A Forest OGDEN (UPI) Service report issued Tuesday said a proposed access road route to molybdenum claims in the White Clouds area has been located and the design nearly completed. The report said the decision on American Smelting and Refining Companys application for a road into the area for its mining claims would likely be made and announced late in 1969. However, the report said the specific design for the road had not yet been presented by ASARCO to the Forest Service for consideration. Alex E. Forest Service mineral examiners who have made preliminary evaluations of ASARCO claims said the company had a central cluster of over 50 claims surrounding Bear Lake . . . numerous other ASARCO claims have been staked in a series along the Little companys proposed Boulder Creek access route. Smith also said the Forest Service tramway expert should release his report soon. The expert visited the area to study the possibility of alternative ways into the area, including building a tramway.
