Show DESERET NEWS, Tuesday, g Septembe; 23, 1969 Camping Areas To Close Q 0 The closing of several picnic areas and campgrounds in Wasatch National Forest until next spring for economy and administrative efficiency was announced today. Gerald F. Horton, recreation staff officer, said these Salt Lake District sites are closed: TerraSalt Lake District ces, Church Fork and Maple Cove picnic areas In Mill Creek Canyon; Oakridge, Dogwood and Jordan Pines picnic areas In Big Cottonwood Canyon, and Tanners Flat Campground, Little tonwood Canyon. All areas On the Kamas District Weber River drainage the two campgrounds and one picnic area will remain open; on the Mirror Lake Highway ihe Yellow Pine, Shingle Creek, Moosehom, Butterfly and Lost Creek campgrounds will be closed. Yellow Pine and Shingle Creek will be open for die deer hunt. Horton said forest employes will continue their checking in the open recreation sites to insure compliance with the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act provisions. Anyone using an area closed for the year is subject to issuance of a notice of violation and charged with violating the secretary of agricultures reg- ulations. In response to a question on the licensing procedure by Thad B. Emery, license assessor, Paul G. Grant, assistant , city attorney, specified the extra licenses. He said only one license w ill be needed where the other business outlets are on property which adjoins the initial place of business. Dry cleaning establishmen s with numerous clothing pickup stations throughout the city would normally be exempt from the multiple licensing procedure, Emery said.
