Baked in a tube pan and frosted with luscious Seafoam Icing, the goodness of this cake is achieved by blending applesauce with the flavoring magic of allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Its unique color is achieved through the combination of cocoa and red food coloring. Have a baking adventure d and whip up this applesauce spicy cake! SPICY APPLESAUCE CAKE raisin-studde- 1 cup 2 butter cups sugar 2 v.ggs 1 3 teaspoon vanilla extract 5 drops red food color cups sifted Hour baking powder teaspoon soda 1 teaspoon ground allspice 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon teaspoon ground nutmeg y4 teaspoon ground cloves 3 tablespoons cocoa 1 can applesauce (2 cups) 1 cup seedless raisins. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, vanilla and food color. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, allspice, cinnacloves and mon, nutmeg, cocoa. Add to butter mixture alternately with applesauce. Stir in raisins. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until cake tests done. Cool slightly 'before removing from pan.
