"We also spent a day with the 75th ABW Information Protection office reviewing their information protection program management procedures, records and their overall effectiveness to this large and diverse base." Perry said the team's goal was to enhance the overall information protection office and strengthen the command's information protection practices. "By conducting these staff assistance visits, it is a win-win situation for the base and the command," Perry said. "We often discover benchmark security practices from Hill and other bases to share across the command plus, it gives us policy makers an opportunity to see and hear the impact of our past policy or pending policy from security managers in the field because the comments we receive are vital to ensure we as a command implement effective policy to our customers." The reviews are a learning tool to help the base become more effective in the information protection security. "During this visit, many things impressed us including, customer service and support, great attitude of the people, the quality of the programs, teamwork, and the vast array of missions on HAFB," Hebblethwaite said "This is a total force base."
