Families are asked to arrive at 4:45 p.m. Kids will help light the tree with Col. Calvin Williams, 75th Air Base Wing vice commander. Games, refreshments, activities, crafts and a bouncy castle will be available in various rooms. Each child needs a ticket pack with a time slot to see Santa. Time slots are 5:30 p.m.6 p.m., 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m., 7 p.m.-7:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.-8 p.m. There will be a free photo opportunity with Santa. Parents need to bring their own cameras. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. with the lighting of the tree and the arrival of Santa Claus on a firetruck. For more information, call the Hill AFB Chapel at 7772106. Financial Services Office relocating Dec. 1-2 the Financial Services Office will be moving to Building 430. During this time Military Pay, Civilian Pay and Travel Pay will be minimally manned, but available. On Dec. 1 continue to go to Building 1289, but starting on Dec. 2 go to Building 430 for all Military Pay, Travel Pay and Civilian Pay issues. The Defense Travel System helpdesk will also be moving to Building 430 during this time. For emergencies or issues, contact 2nd Lt. Parker Wicks at 777-0178 or Bruce Young at 775-2650. Government Travel Card changeover With the Government Travel Card transition happening on the night of Nov. 29, be sure that you have verified receipt of your new card. If you have not received your new card, please contact your unit GTC Agency Program coordinator. In addition, please ensure that all travel settlement vouchers for both DTS and RTS, including accrual vouchers through Nov. 29 are filed. Also, be aware that your Bank of America accounts need tohave a balance of zero. If you have a balance on your account you need to pay that as soon as possible, and if you have a credit on your account you need to request that from Bank of America. Health Fair to be held December 2-4 The 2008 Federal Benefits Open Season Health Fair will be begin Monday, Dec. 2, and run through Dec. 4, at the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Building 150, during regular business hours. Get information on health insurance, dental and vision insurance and flexible spending accounts. Don Hoffman assumed the top position for the Air Force major command responsible for the technology, acquisition, test and sustainment of the service's current and future weapon systems during a ceremony here Nov. 21. Hoffman took the reins of Air Force Materiel Command from Gen. Bruce Carlson during a change of command held at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Carlson, who had served as the commander of AFMC since August 2005, is retiring after 37 years of service. Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz presided over the change of command and began by highlighting Carlson's unwavering leadership in estab- lishing a vision known to everyone in AFMC: war-winning capabilities — on time, on cost. "Bruce, you can be confident that AFMC successfully delivers war-winning expeditionary capabilities to the warfighter," Schwartz said. "Your work is going to pay wonderful dividends for years to come. "You leave a legacy of excellence and you were a friend to all Airmen," Schwartz continued. "We wish you and Vicki the very best." Carlson, who assumed command of AFMC in August 2005, told the crowd that he considered it an honor to serve and learn from such a diverse and talented group of people. The two-day course was attended by 34 members of the Air Force from throughout the service. The event focused at the level of GS-15, NSPS Payband 3 O-6 and chief master sergeants, and BRAEDEN STANDER/U.S. Air Force gave participants the opportunity to hear the Brig. Gen.
