Bob how did you get here?” said Mickey “I Just followed this stream Isn’t the lake beautiful?” “It sure is How would you like to climb up to that highest peak over there?” said Bob "Sure!” said Mickey and soon the two little monkeys were climbing up the mountain side They got a lot of scratches and bruises but didn’t seem to mind it much At last they were on the very top of the mountain What a beautiful sight was spread before their eyes They could see for miles ahd miles around They could see several farm houses near the foot of the mountain and in the distance they could see a village “I feel hungry” said Mickey “Let’s start for home” They hurriedly scrambled down the mountain But as Mickey was climbing down a ledge he caught his foot be- tween two large rocks He pulled and twisted but there was no way of getting it out He called to BobwhoT50on came running back again Try as they would they couldn’t get Mickey’s foot loose "Oh dear! I wonder if I’ll have to stay here forever” cried Mickey “If I could only find something Strong enough to pry the rocks loose I know I could get your foot dut” said Bob scurrying about At last his little bright eyes saw something in the distance and away he went It seemed like hour and hours to Mickey before he returned Bod had found a place where Some people had been camping and there he had found a long iron With the Strongs piece-o-f Iron he pried the two rocks loose and released Mickey’s foot Mickey Was Just a littl bit lame so the two little monkeys Were soon on their way home JEAN SCORUP tgain Salina Wins Race After Stroll "The mountains sure are beautiful’’ said Mickey as he looked around "I guess I’ll Just take a stroll and see what I can see” Mickey started out and soon came to a beautiful stream of water As he looked down Into the water he could see all kinds of fishes darting here and there He decided to follow the stream and see where It wouW lead The stream went on and on through beautiful woods with flowers and trees growing on both sides At last he came to a ledge where the water went tumbling over making a beautiful waterfall Mickey kept following the stream and at last the stream emptied into a beautiful little lake He thought he had never seen such a lovely sight In all his life The lake was in a little valley completely surrounded by mountains "Hello!
