Show THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE JUNIOR Our Birthday Club SUNDAY MORNING MARCH 22 1939 Since we started this Interesting column introducing new tor to The Tribune Junior Page al e gray Preston L i T a La-Vet- ta J Carol field fa Carol Wi'Page should 14 Writes About Her Hobbies I was born fifteen years ago in Nephl Utah and that Is where l still live I started school at the age-o- f 5 and I can remember It clearly to this day I have liked all my teachers vAry much and I have enjoyed each day of my school years Art has been my favorite study all along my school years It seems as though I could spend hours at a time Just drawing I remember when my first drawing was published in The Tribune Ju- nor It was three whole years ago My I was a happy little girl that day (but I do believe everyone Is proud of his first published drawing) My hobbles are swimming ten- nis dancing and bike riding I love to read and play the piano also In my spare time I enjoy writing poems and stories and most of all to draw I started writing for The Tribune Jr at the age of 10 It was a Red Cross nurse who first told me about our little paper that so many boys and girls were writI Immediately became ing for Interested as I loved to write stories For awhile I became discouraged as my articles didn’t appear In the paper but I kept I received more happitrying ness from writing and belonging to the Knighthood of Youth Club than I can express It has taught me things which will always be useful in my life ' It too has helped me with things in my school work May I add that the Knighthood of Youth Club Is the finest club I’ve ever belonged to Hurrah for The Tribune Junior!
