I think it is more fun to have one year at least different” said the second girl as the two continued down the street out of sight “I wonder what they do on leap year?” said Tilly ‘‘How could they leap all year?” asked Mickey “I can beat you leaping” said Tilly as she gave a big jump “You can’t” said Mickey The two little monkeys went down the road leaping running -- and laughing “Oh this is fun” said Tilly ‘‘I think leap year is great!” Soon they came to a pool of water “I can leap that pool” said Mickey as he gave a big jump It was wider than Mickey thought and he fell into the middle of the pool The water was deep and poor Mickey sank out of sight “Mickey! Mickey!” cried Tilly “I know you will be drowned” Just then Mickey’s head popped up and Tilly grabbed hold of a willow and reached it out to Mickey He grabbed hold of it and Tilly pulled him to shore “Oh I am cold” chattered Mickey “Look there is a bam over there Let’s go over and stay until I get warm” Tilly agreed so the two monkeys hurried over to the barn and crawled under some hay to get warm In the morning Mickey was none the worse for his ducking and so the two started on their way KNIGHT CRUSADER JEAN SCORUP age 10 Salina Utah Leap Year Take care!
