Howkes at the east base of Grampin hill in central Beaver county ' L Found BOISE MURDER In Senior Class In 1875 Marked Beginnings Of Beaver County Settlement A shaft was begun and had been sunk about present state of prosperity These developments have resulted in proving the vein to a depth of over 280 feet and about 25000 tons of ore have been extracted and turned into bullion In February 1879 the mine came into the possession of Horn Silver Mining company and more than $65000000 worth of ore has been taken from the mine Two smelters were built in 1878 near the mine Four hundred men were
