Letters to the Editor Liberty Resident Says Thank You I just want to thank all the people who have worked on trying to get dyers woad out of the Valley. The very day after my letter appeared in the OGDEN VALLEY NEWS (June 1 issue) regarding the indifference of a lot of people to this weed on their properties, I was driving down Highway 162 and saw a number of garbage containers that had dyers woad sticking out the top waiting for pickup. That was so gratifying to see, and it was a quick response. So I, for one, want to let them know I appreciate their prompt action. If we all work together, we can get it done. Diana Schraedel, Liberty Drew’s Dream . . . Our Nightmare We would like to extend our gratitude to all our Valley neighbors and friends for bringing to our attention the deception in the article (May 2004 OVN) pertaining to the Eden Coffee Co. While we thought the article well written, it was, as well, most fictitious. Most of you know we were the sole proprietors of the original Eden Coffee Co. However, we were forced to terminate the business due to profuse misappropriation of funds and complaints of Drew’s business practices. While we recovered most of our equipment, we are in the process of recovering that which he still has not returned. We are also pleased that the Valley has come to enjoy a good cup of coffee, and thank you for your support to us. And though Drew may continue to deceive, “may his cup of karma runneth over.” UDOT Region One Road Report The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of the following state road restrictions.Weber County June 7 - early July: Resurfacing project and pedestrian ramp improvements to be completed on Harrison Blvd. from 12th Street in Ogden to U.S. 89 in South Ogden.
