Brent and Linda Laws Coming Full Circle—Brent & Linda Laws Brent and Linda Laws, Huntsville, will celebrate their 35th Huntsville wedding anniversary on November 9, 2009. They were married in Huntsville at the local LDS church 35 years ago after moving to Ogden Canyon from their tent outside of Sandpoint, Idaho where Brent built homes and condos at Switzer Basin and Spokane, Washington. After an absence from Utah for 34 years, they now reside in Huntsville in the old Peterson home they purchased in 2003. Brent says they were married in Huntsville because they loved the town and the Valley; married in the LDS Ward house to please his side of the family, and then went around the corner afterward for a beer at the Shooting Star to please Linda’s side of the family. From Ogden Canyon they moved to Logan where Brent completed his BS degree in Forest Management. They lived in Jackson Hole during the summers while attending Utah State during the rest of the year. Upon finishing school and seasonal forestry work in Jackson, they moved from Jackson Hole to Weaverville, California where Brent began a career as a professional forester with the Forest Service. Their daughter Carly Cascade was born in Redding, California in 1980. In 1981 they moved back to Teton Valley in Driggs, Idaho where Brent worked as a Silviculturist for the U.S. Forest Service and Linda ran Cactus Business Services and worked for Teton Teepee and Alta Construction. Their son Cody Jess was born in Jackson Hole in 1981. After eight years in the Teton Basin, the family moved to Bend, Oregon where they raised their family and Brent worked as Senior Regional Director for Ducks Unlimited and Linda as an accountant. They began buying old homes there and restoring them. In 2003 they bought the old Peterson home in downtown Huntsville and began working on it in the summers until they were able to move back to Huntsville in October of 2008. After being gone for 35 years, they have come full circle; they now reside across the town park from where they were married. Both children still reside in Portland, Oregon.
